Fall 2026 Permaculture Skills Workshop Series

Get Your Hands in Soil and Learn Some Skills

Well, it turns out we’re going to do a whole bunch more Permaculture workshops this Fall in NC!

If you’ve already attended one of our workshops before, these workshops aren’t repeats (other than the food forest tour). These are focused deep dives into some of the most important and fun topics in Permaculture.

All of them are beginner-friendly, and most include something hands-on. Many will give you something to take home with you!

Accessible Half-Day Workshops

Each workshops is 3 hours long, with the possible exception of our soon to be announced Earthworks workshop. If it’s been too much of a challenge to come to our all-day workshops in the past, we hope this makes it more possible for you to be there.

And, if you do have the whole day available to learn, each Saturday pairs one morning workshop with another afternoon one. If you make the drive out, bring a lunch and stay for the afternoon and learn two topics in one day.

Our Schedule:

See all workshops with dates and links on our Event Page.

Topics this Fall include:

  • Herbal Medicine – working with and making local herbal medicine
  • Soil and Gardening Deep Dive – turning dirt into living soil with a bunch of hands-on practices
  • Food Forest Tour – a tour and discussion in Liane’s amazing mature food forest
  • Guild Design and Perennial Understory Plants – making guild design fun and learning a whole lot of plants
  • Propagate Your Own Trees with Air Prune Beds – make an air prune bed and learn about starting your own trees
  • Mushroom Logs and Everything Fungi – make and take home a mushroom log and learn about mushroom foraging, medicinals, and fungal soil
  • Earthworks and Agroforestry – Dig a swale, make a berm, plant hundreds of trees, and restore the water and land

Two Workshops a Day – Same Location, Separate Tickets

One Saturday a month from September to November, we’re offering two different 3-hour workshops on two different topics.

Think of it as a mini-permaculture gathering, spread out over months. You can attend two workshops on the same Saturday, pick one every month, or just show up for a single class.

Please spread the word, and come to a workshop (or 7 of them!)
